Every visitor to a website is, consciously or not, asking three questions very quickly: is this what I'm looking for, can I trust this business, and how do I take the next step. If the answer to any of these isn't immediately obvious, most visitors don't dig for it — they leave and try the next option, which for a local business is often a direct competitor one search result away.

Clarity problems look like: a homepage that describes the company rather than the customer's problem, services buried in a menu rather than visible immediately, or location and service area that isn't clear (a visitor unsure if you serve their area won't risk finding out by calling).

Trust problems look like: no reviews or testimonials visible, no photos of actual work or actual people, and a generic feel that could belong to any business in any city.
