Findability Audit & Correction

Found First is the front door. Your current website is the building behind it. If the two don’t agree, the door doesn’t work as well.

Think of your site as a car. It looks fine, but it isn’t getting found. We don’t repaint it or change the dashboard. We work under the hood, so it runs and people can find it. The paint stays exactly the same.

How it works

1. The audit is included. Every Found First order comes with a read-only check of your current website. Give us your address when you order and we do the rest. No login needed.
2. You get a match report. It starts with what’s working, then lists what doesn’t line up: your name, address and phone, services, headings and the data search engines and AI tools read.
3. Fixing it is optional. If you want the back end corrected, we quote it from your audit, based on the number of pages and images and the platform your site is built on. Cleaning up behind the curtain takes time, so it costs money.
4. You sign off first. A written authorization says what we will and won’t touch, and how we get access.
5. We work behind the scenes. We back everything up first, make the changes, then send before-and-after screenshots and a change log.

If we find something that would change how your site looks, we tell you and leave it alone unless you say otherwise.

What we need to get in

We use an invited account, never your password, and we keep a record of who has access.

• WordPress: an invited administrator user.
• Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, GoDaddy: an invited collaborator or admin seat.
• Shopify: a staff account with limited permissions.
• Custom or hosted site: hosting or FTP access, or access to the code repository.
• Google: manager access to your Business Profile and Search Console.
• Domain settings: only if we need to add a verification record.

Some site builders don’t allow certain changes. If yours doesn’t, the match report says so, and we only promise what the platform allows.

What it costs

The audit and match report come with Found First. The correction is quoted after your audit, because a site with five pages is not the same job as a site with five hundred pages or thousands of images. It is included for customers of the Exclusive Territory Network.

Every site is corrected by hand, so we take on a limited number each day.

Safeguards

• A signed authorization before we touch anything.
• A full backup, and a way to roll everything back.
• Before-and-after screenshots of your key pages.
• A change log of everything we did.
• Only our team works on your site and logins.

We improve how findable your business is. We can’t promise rankings, traffic or customers. No one can fully guarantee that changes to a site on someone else’s platform are risk-free, which is why we back up first and keep a change log.
